IMPACT REPORT

At the next meeting, the winning charity shares how the award benefited them and the community.
Four times a year, 100 Women Who Care directs $10,000+ to a local Utah Valley charity. It's fast, simple, and highly effective. The greatest advantages of our organization are that charities receive donations without the burden of fundraising, and members discover various community resources and causes. If you're a woman who wants to empower multiple causes, join us!

a simple beginning

The 100 Women Who Care concept of crowd-sourced philanthropy traces its roots to the first 100 Women Who Care chapter started by Karen Dunigan. She conceived of this simple idea as way to raise money efficiently and quickly for local charities.
  • Karen Dunigan held the first meeting in 2006 in Jackson, Michigan. The group raised $12,800 in less than one hour for Center for Family Health’s need to supply cribs for new mothers.
  • Currently there are more than 600 actively operating chapters located throughout the world with more than 250 under development.
  • Chapters encompass women’s groups, men’s groups, groups inclusive of both men and women, businesses, kids, and teens groups.

100 WOMEN WHO CARE UTAH VALLEY FOUNDED NOVEMBER 7, 2018
For three years, Ruth Simmoneau and Jessica Farnsworth were founding members of the Salt Lake City chapter of 100 Women Who Care. In 2018, they launched a Utah Valley chapter with a dedicated steering committee.

  • Klea Harris-Community Outreach & Membership Management

If you are in the Salt Lake area, visit 100 Women Who Care Salt Lake City. Since 2015, they've raised over $200,000 for 12 local charities. Inspired by their example, we strive to help our community in Utah Valley.
