WHO WE ARE
100 Women Who Care is exactly that - a group of 100(+) women who care deeply about our community. Located in various cities through Utah Valley, the members of this group gather for 1 hour, four times annually and each member writes a $100 check/or donates digitally to the same charity. This group donation is intended to make a significant impact. Our mission and our hope is to provide for those in greatest need in our community. We have strength in numbers.
HOW IT WORKS
A SIMPLE BEGINNING
The 100 Women Who Care concept of crowd-sourced philanthropy traces its roots to the first 100 Women Who Care chapter started by Karen Dunigan. She conceived of this simple idea as way to raise money efficiently and quickly for local charities.
100 WOMEN WHO CARE UTAH VALLEY FOUNDED NOVEMBER 7, 2018
For 3 years, Ruth Simmoneau and Jessica Farnsworth participated as founding members of sister-chapter 100 Women Who Care Salt Lake City. In 2018, with the growing interest and support of friends and fellow women, they decided it was the right time to launch a chapter in their home community of Utah Valley. They are joined by amazing steering committee members:

HOW IT WORKS
- Every member can nominate a local charitable organization (must be 501-c3
- Members who come to the meeting can put the name of the charity they want to speak about into the hat.
- Three names are drawn at random at each meeting.
- The nominating member makes a 5-minute presentation about each cause, followed by Q&A
- We all vote on which cause to support.
- The top-voted charity will be the recipient of the impact award; Even if your choice does not win, you will write your check/donate digitally to the organization who receives the most votes
- The best part: at the next chapter meeting, we will hear from the award winning charity about how the impact award received benefited the organization and the lives of those they serve!
